SunKatcher Solar Hot Water

Promoting the use of renewable energy

By installing a SunKatcher Solar Hot Water system to your home you are

  • Saving between 60-70% on your annual hot water bill
  • Increasing the value of your home

Not only will you save on your fuel costs and put value on your home, you will be doing your bit to ‘save the planet’ by reducing your carbon emissions.

SunKatcher Solar uses the very latest evacuated tube solar collectors to convert the light of the sun to heat your domestic hot water. (See diagram of evacuated tube) It can be installed retrospectively to almost all homes. In many cases it may not be necessary to change the cylinder.

Below is a typical retro fitted solar collector providing domestic hot water. Most installations are completed in one day with minimum disruption.

The diagram below shows a closed-loop system with a twin coil cylinder. This system can save you up to 70% of your hot water heating bills.

Evacuated Tube

This diagram demonstrates the physics involved in producing heat from sunlight. It is simple and very effective. The heat that is generated by the evacuated tubes is then transferred to the hot water circuit via the manifold located at the top of the collector.
